“Love Chiang Mai Cooking School” Class

We found this school online and it had great reviews. The school offered many different choices from very advanced to beginner and included different styles of cooking to select from. We chose a six hour beginner “Lanna” class and chose three recipes, plus a dessert to make from a long list. Lanna was the old local kingdom around Chiang Mai and it has unique ingredients and a charcoal cooking style. The “Love Chiang Mai Cooking School” is the only school that teaches the Lanna Style.

Panphailin “Lin” Puntira, the owner, picked us up at our hotel in the morning and took us to the market to select ingredients for the menu items we picked, before heading off the Lin’s home and school. Lin was fun, easy, and extremely knowledgeable. The school is a great setup, very clean, and extremely well organized. The staff was very nice and extremely helpful. Overall we had a relaxed, very fun day and we ate some great food! We highly recommend this experience. (We never take compensation for our recommendations. You can find a link to Lin’s school in our “Favorite Links” box on our home page).

Off to the market.
