Cairo, Giza, and Alexandria, Egypt

Our first view of the great pyramids of Giza was through a windshield.

Hoppy’s personal camel

All nine of the pyramids of Giza

Happy birthday cake celebration overlooking to Spinx

Saw these everywhere, they are for pigeons. They say if you build them, they will come.

Alexandria
The library of Alexandria (new one
😀
). This outside wall is covered with written languages of the world.

Alexandria

Catacombs of Kom Ash Shuqqafa. Originally constructed in the 2nd century AD, they were accidentally rediscovered in 1900 when a donkey disappeared through the ground, these catacombs make up the largest-known Roman burial site in Egypt and one of the last major works of construction dedicated to the religion of ancient Egypt.

Hoppy says, “I see dead people”

Unique to Alexandria these taxis are Russian Ladas

This young man asked me to take his picture so I did

Saqqara and the great pyramids of Giza in the background

Saqqara and the oldest stone structure ever built, the Step Pyramid of King Djoser

Dahshur and the Bent Pyramid

Love the attitude of the little Lamb

Inside one of the pyramids of Saqqara, lots of bending over to get down into the pyramid
