Bari, Puglia Italy
I love Italy but this visit to Bari is the first time I felt immersed. In Bari life spills into the streets. Doors are open, kitchens and furniture extend into the narrow alleyways and every square. Old men play cards and drink beer, young men watch football and drink beer, and children play with balls ⚽️ long into the evening. Street food is in every square. People are friendly, and an attempt of a greeting in Italiano will bring a chorus of friendly replies.
