Enjoying the UNESCO World Heritage Trulli Houses, these houses first showed up in the prehistoric age, they were built without mortar so they could be quickly dismantled as an efficient way to avoid paying taxes. Some are inhabited, some abandoned, some have been converted into B&Bs (we’re staying in one). Also, visited the Manduria wine region where locals fill jugs from “gas tanks” filled with wine.
