Lucerne and Mt. Pilatus

Town hall, Lucerne

Jesuit church in Lucerne, construction started in 1667

Cog train to Mt. Pilatus. It is the world’s steepest cogwheel train, it took about a half hour to get to the top of the 6800 ft mountain, with a maximum gradient of 48%, it felt like we were rock climbing on a sheer face

A cable car taking people back down a portion of Mt. Pilatus

The ibex was nearly extinct at one point but we were fortunate to see a few

We walked/climbed around the top of Mt. Pilatus
