Wengen 25th Annual Cheese Festival!

We took a cable car from Wengen to Männlichen for an overview of the Eiger, Monch, and Jungfrau mountains. The fencing in the foreground is to protect from the avalanches.

The north face of Eiger mountain, called the “murderous wall” as it’s the most dangerous mountain face in the Swiss Alps

Cable car back down to Wengen. Weeeeeee!

Wengen 25th Annual Cheese Festival!

The Trychler Club. Bells are initially wrung in unison, then the person on the far left stops, the person next to him stops a second later, and so on.

A crowd favorite, raclette cheese over bread 😋

Bratwurst, rosti (shredded potato pancake), and raclette over bread

Making the rosti. Men and women wear this light blue patterned shirt, it’s a sign of their heritage in their specific Swiss Canton/state.

Fresh baked bread

Rock throwing fun!
