Warsaw – Krakow – Eger – Budapest – Vienna - Prague

This was one of our first few open ended trips to Europe (2002) and we pretty closely followed a Rick Steve's guidebook.  We love Rick and his guidebooks and this was an excellent trip. We took trains from city to city as above during a 2 and 1/2 week trip. The only thing we would change in hindsight is to "take more time". In our mindset today this would be a two month trip, but we we're both working fulltime then, and of course 2 & 1/2 weeks is better than no weeks. Since this trip we have returned to Hungary and Poland and was able to spend much more time in both countries.
