Lucca, Italy

Last stop: Lucca. We wandered, ate, drank, admired approximately 847 beautiful buildings, and biked around the city walls for good measure. A pretty excellent way to wrap up Italy before heading back to Milan and then home

Taking the scenic route around Lucca. The city’s famous walls date back to the 16th century, stretch for about 2.5 miles, and were built as a massive defensive system

Jewelry store front, the cases fold into themselves in the evening creating a barrier

Ran into a reality show being filmed, called, Let’s Play Ball - similar to the Amazing Race

Soooo much gelato!

And pasta! This had fresh truffles.

Hoppy and Mr. Puccini keep watch over Piazza Cittadella, right outside the house where Puccini was born. Ciao!
